...to be a learning, loving, worshipping, witnessing church
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers... And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:42; 47
Ten days after Jesus ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit fell upon the group of believers who were gathered in Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit moved in such a powerful way that day, that when Peter preached Jesus to an assembled crowd, three-thousand souls were saved! This new church was, in every sense, a "Spirit-filled" church!
In Acts chapter two, we are told that this "Spirit-filled" church was marked by four fundamental characteristics: they were a learning, loving, worshipping, witnessing church.
It is our desire to be such a church: a learning, loving, worshipping, witnessing church, unto the praise and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ!
